The apex court ordered the former Deputy Governor, Abubakar Danladi to take over the role of the number one citizen of the state.
Alhaji Garba Umar was first sworn in as the deputy governor of Taraba State on October 5, 2012 to work with his principal, Pharmacist Danbaba Danfulani Suntai following the impeachment of the then deputy governor, Alhaji Sani Danladi Abubakar.
Danladi was impeached by the Taraba State House of Assembly in September 2012 for gross misconduct and engaging in private businesses.
Few days after his swearing in as deputy governor, precisely on October 25, 2012, his boss Governor Danbaba Suntai was involved in an unfortunate plane crash near Yola, Adamawa State.
