Viral video Assault: Police Begins investigation on Senator Abbo
The lawmaker representing Adamawa North Senatorial DistrictSenator ,Elisha Abbo , who was caught on tape assaulting a nursing mother at an adult toy shop in Abuja ,has Finally been detained and grilled yesterday at the Federal Capital Territory Police Command.
Peoples Democratic Party was still being interrogated by detectives as at the time of press.
The FCT Police Commissioner , Bala Ciroma, who confirmed his grilling, said senator Abbo was presently interacting with operatives at the command.
The embattled senator earlier met with the Inspector -General of Police , Mohammed Adamu , at the Force headquarters before heading to the command for questioning.
Recall that following the outrage over a trending video of the senator, assaulting his victim , the IGP had directed the CP to carry out an investigation into the incident .
Ciroma tasked to undertake a forensic investigation of the footage which showed Abbo repeatedly slapping his victim.
