BREAKING: Senate Lawan speaks on what he hates about Nigerian roads
According to DAILYPOST reports, The Senate President, Ahmed Lawan, has described the deplorable state of Nigerian roads, saying he has heard a lot about their poor state.
Lawan, who said he did not need to drive through the roads to know they are bad, assured that it was time government ensured railways work again in order to check movement of heavy haulage on the roads, which “really spoilt all our roads”.
According to the Senate President, the current National Assembly under his leadership, would “work together with the executive arm of government for the benefit of the people of Niger State and indeed the country to ensure that we achieve our common goal of taking Nigeria to the next level.”
He spoke in Minna, Niger State capital, when Senator Mohammed Musa, who represents Niger East, unveiled his Actions Plan for the district.
On the state of Nigerian roads and Federal lawmakers’ determination to make laws to better the situation Lawan said, “I think it is time to make our railways work again because the movement of heavy haulage on the roads has really spoilt all our roads.
