The two aspirants visited Governor Rauf Aregbesola at Government House, Oke Fia, Osogbo separately.
While Kwankwaso according to sources visited Aregbesola on Sunday night, General Buhari was said to have paid his visit yesterday.
Credible source informed Afric Tv that the two separate visits were not unconnected with the consultation and desperate moves to curry the favour and support of critical stakeholders in the South West ahead the primary election of the APC, where the candidate of the party in February, 2015 presidential election would emerge.
The source siad: “It is true that Kwankwaso visited Governor Rauf Aregbesola on Sunday night. I can tell you that he was also with the Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuade at his palace. His visit may be part of his preparation to shore up his support against the APC primary election for all the presidential contenders.”
Both Buhari and Kwankwaso were said to have held separate close door talks with Aregbesola, which sources hinted lasted for more than 30 minutes.
