The Bauchi State Police Command has said its men arrested four robbery suspects in different parts of the state, recovered arms, ammunition and N5,000 from the suspects.
A statement released in Bauchi by the command’s image maker, Haruna Mohammed, stated that police detectives attached to Alkaleri Division,
in collaboration with members of a vigilante group last Sunday, September 21, arrested four suspects following a distress call at about 1:30a.m.
He said the suspects, Ali Adamu, 20, of Angayau; Gambo Manu, 25, Wawa Bajoga; Abubakar Kawuwa, 28 of Garin Alhaji Tukur and Ibrahim Hussaini, 20, of Lugga in Futuk, Alkaleri Local Government Area of the state conspired and robbed one Mohammed Adamu of Angayau in Gwana District in his house and made away with N42,000.
The Police Public Relations Officer, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, stated that exhibits recovered from the suspects included one fabricated pistol, 13 live cartridges and N5,000 cash.
