BREAKING: Finally Buhari Makes his first Appointment in Office
THE President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has officially made his first appointment of his second term since his inauguration on May 29, 2019.
A statement by the Director of Communications in the office of the Head of Civil Service, Wunmi Ogunmosunle, announced that Buhari has approved the re-appointed Ahmed Idris as the accountant-general of the federation.
Ogunmosunle Buhari approved the appointment via a letter signed by Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Gida Mustapha.
The statement read: “The president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Mr Ahmed Idris for the second and final term of four years as Accountant General of the Federation, AGF, in accordance with Section 171 of the 199 Constitution of Nigeria (as amended).”
Idris was first appointed in June 2015, to replace Jonah Otunla who had resigned.
