- More than 70 people have died after two Boko Haram attacks in Borno and Adamawa on Sunday.
CHANNELS reports that the attack in Adamawa was launched during the morning service at a church in in Waga Chakawa village.
According to the report, 22 people were killed and a number of houses burnt.
The victims of the attack were buried on Monday.
A busy weekly market in Borno was the second target of the suspected Boko Haram attack.
"Unknown to the people the gunmen had planted Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) at strategic areas in the town before carrying out attacks on residents," Malam Isa Ibrahim, a survivor, told NAN.
He said that the gunmen also set several houses and shops ablaze before fleeing.
A police official told AP that 52 bodies were removed from the scene of the attack.
AP reports that nearly 200 people have been killed this month in attacks by suspected members of the Boko Haram terrorist network in the area around Maiduguri.
