Responsibilities
Reports to the CEO
The Finance Manager will be responsible for management and development of the company’s finance system. He will have the task of providing effective financial leadership for the company.
Provide and oversee day to day financial and accounting services within the guidelines established by management.
Oversee the preparation of regulatory and governmental reports as well as Joint venture reporting.
Ensure the accuracy, completeness, integrity, and reliability of all financial information and meeting deadlines.
Handle Taxation matters, Statutory Audits and Internal Audits
Responsible for Budgets and plans realization, update and follow up.
Ensure appropriate account processes and controls are in place
Manage Cash Flow to ensure targets are met and the Credit Control functions operate effectively.
Create and maintain appropriate financial risk, accounting and auditing policies and procedures.
Ensure an effective control and governance environment is created and embedded within the financial reporting function in line with the Company policy and procedures
In charge of relationship between the finance team and relevant stakeholders, Banks, Tax regulators, Auditors
Represent the financials at Board meetings.
Provide adequate support to the Joint Venture operations by establishing and maintaining up to date AFE and related documents.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Accounting/Banking and Finance
ICAN/ACCA mandatory
M Sc./ MBA ( added advantage)
Knowledgeable about local tax systems and IFRS

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools

Minimum of 7 years oil and gas work experience in accounting and finance with at least 3 years in a managerial role
Experience in similar function in the energy sector
Work Experience: 7 to 8 years
