Location: Lagos
Division/Department: Marketing
Responsibilities
Reports to the Chief Operating Officer
Responsible for the overall operating effectiveness and profitability of the lube business; by ensuring product availability at the lowest possible cost in the market.
Implement marketing strategies to achieve sales target and profit levels.
Explore and develop new marketing opportunities to increase share and value of market.
Create demand visibility by generating accurate sales and demand forecast for lubes.
Create production forecast for lube operating plants and manage third party contract manufacture of lubes.
Ensure that production materials are supplied on time in full (OTIF) such that KLP operations are totally free from any supply- induced disruptions.
Achieve defined quality standards for lubricants and company manufactured products at all points of sale and warehouses.
Develop and introduce new products to meet changing customer and market requirements.
Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction for our lube segment and continuously develop methods to sustain customer satisfaction by training,
Drive a continuous improvement process in relation to security of supply, lube conversion process, quality as well as cost of raw materials for the lube business.
Ensure that performance measures are in place for the entire lube supply chain which accurately tracks and monitors performance and allows identification of areas for improvement.
Identify, train and develop the talent within with a view to ensure there is a continuous stream of successors for the various positions in lube supply chain.
Provide adequate/resources for EHS items for departmental operations and items.
Liaise with HCM/EHSSQ to ensure all staff in your department have done required minimum EHS competence development course.
Demonstrate commitment to consequence Management Process on EHS values among Team members.
Carry out a couple of EHS-MS audit report reviews with all Management staff in your department to close out identified NCs.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
Experience and understanding of supply chain concepts and policies.
Ability to build partnerships with internal and external stakeholders and understand their various needs
Leadership qualities
Responsiveness to lube business and customer needs.
Product cost within set targets.
Achieve set profit targets.
Operate lube business with low capital tied in inventory without lost sales.
Achieve quality targets.
Achieve zero NCs from lack of funds for EHS concerns through FY
Training register should show all staff more than 6 months have done minimum EHS competence development course.
Achieve minimum of number of 2 Sanctions and/or Commendation per HY.
Document copies of Letters of Warning/commendation.
Minutes of Meeting and NC tracking close-out showing 80% accomplishment by each HY
Product development knowledge
Trade marketing awareness.
Project Management Skills
Good communication skills
Financial and commercial skills.
Relevant experience of financial analysis, contract/ commercial law, import/export and freight practices, ERP systems, business processes, sales and marketing practices.
Work Experience: 5 to 6 years
