The American University of Nigeria, Yola, is seeking a Permanent Generator Electronic Technician. This position is a local position and opens to indigenous and/or legal residents of Nigeria.
Summary of Position:
The Generator Electronic Technician is responsible for installation, troubleshooting and repairing of mechanical, electrical, and electronic assemblies and panel systems. Work includes production, field service, returned materials, and engineering setups, installations, testing, certification, and repair of AUN facilities Generators.
Position Requirements:
Must possess relevant trade test
Must possess problem solving skills, strong digital and analog skills, ability to troubleshoot in a logical manner.
Professional, clear verbal and written communication.
Must have experience using the following equipments: DVM, oscilloscopes, recorders, hand tools, such as soldering irons, hand crimpers, screwdrivers, wrenches, and pliers.
Must be able to exercises judgement within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
Generate failure analysis and problem report to management.
Advanced training in electronic theory such as one would receive at a technical trade school, military training or multiple years of on the job training.
Electronic fabrication abilities a plus.
