JUST-IN: EFCC Set to Probe Adoke & Others Over $1.2 Billion
According to Reports, Bello Adoke, The Nigerian former Minister of Justice has be arraigned Recently today by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over the alleged involvement in the $1.2 billion Malabu oil scandal.
Naija News recalls that Adoke was arrested at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja on December 19 and has remained in EFCC custody since he returning voluntarily from Dubai, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) where he was first arrested and detained.
This online newspaper understands that Adoke will be facing a 12-count charge of conspiracy, forgery of bank documents, bribery, corruption and money laundering filed against him at the Federal Court, Abuja alongside Aliyu Abubakar, Rasky Gbinigie, Malabu Oil and Gas Limited, Nigeria Agip Exploration Limited, Shell Nigeria Ultra Deep Limited, and Shell Nigeria Exploration Production Company Limited.
