The governor was seen in an open roof black Jeep with the party’s symbol, a broom, waving to ecstatic crowd of supporters, showing appreciation for their solidarity with him.
Local drummers and singers added glamour to the celebration as most party supporters danced to the music provided by them.
Adagunodo, in his reaction to the verdict, said the judgment delivered by the Appeal Court was based on technicalities that would be addressed at the Supreme Court.
Adagunodo said the appeal panel relied on technicality in giving its decisions.According to him, “Technicality was what Wole Olanipekun laid before the court. There was no argument about the decision of the tribunal that gave us (PDP) victory. We will upturn the judgment at the Supreme Court.”
He added: “It is democracy at play. We will study the Appeal Court’s judgment appropriately and challenge it at the Supreme Court,” Adagunodo said.
