Atiku still defeated Buhari in Enugu South with 25,631 votes as against Buhari who polled 2,350 votes while in Ezeagu, Atiku led by 15,526 votes against Buhari’s 3,103 votes.
Although other results from the remaining 13 local governments of the states out of 17 are being waited, the opposition party, APC hierarchy has protested the results saying that it was not a true result because their members far outweigh the figures that voted for their party’s candidate.
According to them, they want a rerun of the Presidential polls.
“How can our party members vote against our presidential candidate that Buhari should be defeated like that? Of course, we will not accept the results,” APC state chairman, Dr. Ben Nwoye said.
Meanwhile, the PDP candidates for the senate and House of Representatives look good to defeat their APC counterparts going by the margins of the Presidential election results so far.
