The APC had stated in its petition that Atiku was born in Cameroon and so is a Cameroonian by birth. Atiku has since described the allegation by the APC as baseless and false. Reacting to the debate of nationalities, the IPOB in a statement released and signed by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Comrade Emma Powerful, said that their leader, Nnamdi Kanu had earlier warned Nigerians that the two politicians, who are both Fulanis, were non – Nigerians. The statement added that their leader had earlier said that President Buhari is a Sudanese.
