On the technology front, Buhari says he will provide $500m innovation fund to tech and creative sector  to create 500,000 jobs, while also training 200,000 youths for outsourcing market in technology,  services and entertainment.

The president is also desirous of making Nigeria an industrial hub by creating six regional industrial parks and special economic zones.     The president says he is taking the country to the Next Level of 109 Special Production and Processing Centres (SPPCs)  to spur production and value additive processing.

At the court, Counsel to the Senate president Senator Bukola Saraki, Mr Oba ihagbon told the court that he has just got the originating process and sought the permission of the court to allow him respond to the processes served on his client. He urged the court to give him a week to file the process and serve the parties involved.

Fayose: We are taking steps to enforce his fundamental rights

 We are taking steps to enforce his fundamental rights – Ozekhome Fayose has been in the detention of the EFCC for the past 5 days. When the charges were read to him, he pleaded not guilty. His counsel, Kanu Agabi, filed a bail application on behalf of his client but the presiding judge, Mojisola Olatoregun rejected his bail application and ordered that Fayose should remain in EFCC custody till Wednesday. The case was adjourned to Wednesday.

Makarfi appealed

Senator Makarfi appealed to the people to always eschew violence and embrace the time-tested process of constructive engagement through dialogue with one another, which has always proven to be a more effective and sustainable conflict resolution mechanism.

The Senator commended the role played by the various security agencies, as well as community and religious leaders in facilitating a return to normalcy.

He also condoled with the government and people of Kaduna State and families who lost dear ones even as he also commiserated with those injured and others who suffered losses on account of the unfortunate incidents.
